Our Therapists
Kristin Cummings, LMHC, NCC
Founder, Kristin Cummings, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Liberty University in 2010 and her M.Ed. and Ed.S. in Counseling and Counselor Education from Indiana University in 2014. Kristin is also a Nationally Certified Counselor and has completed training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Kristin began her work as a therapist in home based counseling working with children and families involved with juvenile probation and the department of child services. During this work she developed a passion for trauma focused therapy and sought out the specialized trainings to assist her in providing better care. In 2019 Kristin transitioned to a private practice setting, while continuing to focus on trauma therapies and working primarily with children and adults with trauma related concerns.
Kristin recently added a companion to her practice, her therapy pup in training, Piper! Piper is a 6 year old red Golden Retriever that Kristin adopted from a local rescue in 2023. Piper’s early life was spent as a breeder, but now she is a pampered pup, learning her manners, and her skills to help individuals in therapy. Piper comes to the office with Kristin most days of the week, so if you schedule with Kristin you will get to meet her!
Kristin also has a passion for working with individuals in foster care and/or who have experienced adoption due to her professional work in this area as well as her own personal experience of adopting her daughters.
Kristin resides with her husband, two daughters, two dogs, two cats, one rabbit, and multiple ducks and chickens. Outside of caring for their multitude of animals, Kristin and her family enjoy boating, time with friends and family, eating brunch, and movie nights!
Kristin works with clients age 6 and up.
Katherine Schuttler, LSW
Katherine Schuttler received her masters degree in social work from Indiana University. She completed her bachelors degree in psychology from Washington University in St Louis. While she has the most familiarity with a cognitive behavioral or dialectical behavioral theory, she makes a point to tailor her sessions and modalities to fit each individual client.
Katherine has a special interest in serving populations who have experienced trauma, as a trauma survivor herself. She also has a passion for providing gender-affirming and identity-affirming care for her clients.
When she isn’t working, Katherine loves to draw, garden, and care for her numerous animals with her partner of 14 years.
Katherine works with clients age 14 and up.
Candace McCallister, LMHC
Candace is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in both Indiana and Arkansas. Candace has an undergraduate degree in Biology from Asbury University, and an MA in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Eastern New Mexico University (2008). Candace has completed additional training in Somatic Experiencing, holistic approaches, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Candace has worked with a variety of populations across the lifespan, working most often with grief, trauma, and emotional dysregulation. Candace started her career working with adults with disabilities in the Chicago area, and she has continued to work with hearing and visually impaired populations in the past years, providing therapy at the Arkansas Schools for the Blind and Deaf.
Candace experienced a major loss and trauma herself with the loss of her husband to cancer in December 2021, influencing her own counseling perspective and techniques as a result. Candace has three children, ages 19, 16, and 12, and she just married an IU professor who is also a widow with children. They moved to Bloomington in July 2025, blending their families and beginning a new season in their lives.
Candace takes a holistic approach to counseling, bringing in somatic awareness, mindfulness, connection with nature, and even dreamwork to support clients in moving through traumatic experiences, chronic symptoms, and stuck points in their lives. Candace loves her work and considers it a deep honor to walk with people through the difficult parts of their life journeys.
Outside of her counseling work, Candace finds joy in teaching Jazzercise, exploring the outdoors, and embracing the rhythms of family life.
Candace sees clients age 6 and up.
Noah Like, LMHCA (pending!)
Noah is currently in the process of getting his LMHCA as he has completed his master’s degree in mental health counseling at Indiana University as of August 2025. He received his B.A. in psychology from IU in 2022. While Noah has only recently started his professional experience, he has been with us as a therapy intern since May 2024 and gained experience working with both adults and adolescents.
Noah’s interest in the mental health field goes back to 2015 when he first began studying psychology independently. It quickly developed into a passion, and he has been pursuing a career in the field ever since. He gravitates towards Cognitive Behavioral approaches while also maintaining the philosophy of the Humanistic approaches which champion non-judgement, acceptance, and curiosity toward oneself as well as others.
Noah has lived in the Bloomington area his whole life and is well acquainted with the community. In his free time, Noah enjoys relaxing with TV and video games. He also considers himself a foodie and loves to try new restaurants and new dishes whenever he gets the chance.
Noah works with clients age 8 and up.
